Star Trek: Picard Composers Say "Something Teed Up" After Season 3

Warning: SPOILERS for Star Trek: Picard Season 3Star Trek: Picard season 3's composers, Stephen Barton and Frederik Weidmann, hint that "something is teed up" to follow the final season of Picard. Proving to be a huge hit with critics and fans, Star Trek: Picard season 3 has not only re-ignited love for the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but it has introduced the 'next Next Generation', such as Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers), the son of Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden).
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Star Trek: Picard composers Stephen Barton and Frederik Weidmann were asked about what the future beyond season 3 could look like. Barton and Weidmann agreed that the characters and ideas Picard season 3 set up can continue in "something." Check out their quotes below:
Frederik Weidmann: I think there's so much in this season that can potentially become something else. I would love to see where all these characters are going beyond this, for sure. I think there's a lot of good setup here.
Stephen Barton: There is something teed up. Obviously we can't say exactly what, because there are many fates yet to be decided. But, I mean, yes. I think Star Trek is at a bit of a crossroads, in a way, as a franchise. Discovery is coming to an end with season five, and Picard has come to an end with season three - or has it though? I don't know. You know, maybe there'll be something.
