When speaking with Vanity Fair, Loki star Tom Hiddleston revealed how deeply connected his final line was to Loki's first MCU appearance. Hiddleston explained that the line echoes Loki's final line in Thor, showing how much the character has grown. Hiddleston's comments can be seen below:

Loki's last line in Thor, directed by Kenneth Branagh, is, ‘I could have done it, Father.
