Peacemaker season 2 has just received a very exciting update from James Gunn. Peacemaker season 1 took the world by storm, continuing the story of John Cena's character from Gunn's The Suicide Squad, presenting a new tragic side to Peacemaker that had been largely absent from his comedic debut. Now the creative chief of the new DC Universe, Gunn has shared a new update on the status of Peacemaker season 2's story.
On Instagram, Gunn was asked by a fan about the status of Peacemaker season 2.
Gunn, who wrote all the episodes of the show's first season, revealed that he is currently writing Peacemaker season 2, saying, "Writing it now." The exciting update comes right after the end of the Writers Guild of America strike, which stopped all writers in Hollywood from working for 148 days. Following the end of the WGA strike, the work on upcoming DC movies and shows should resume sooner rather than later, as proved by Gunn's Peacemaker season 2 update.
